About Us
An Argentine steakhouse that grew up in California.
A New Vision for Argentine Asado
Gaucho Grill opened in 1986, establishing its roots in Southern California's dining scene. In 2008, entrepreneur Adrian Amosa bought the original Brentwood location and embarked on a journey to completely rebuild the restaurant brand around a fresh, modern perspective.
Instead of creating a museum piece of Gaucho nostalgia, Adrian set out to engineer an Argentine steakhouse that felt current, vibrant, and alive—blending traditional tastes with Southern California's energy.
Today, Gaucho Grill is a celebrated community hub. We're not fine dining, and we're not trying to be. We'd rather be the place you come back to time and again. The room is warm, a little loud, and filled with laughter—perfect for a Tuesday family dinner, business meetings, or milestone birthday celebrations. Nobody is going to make you feel underdressed; we invite you to come as you are.
The Three Pillars of Gaucho
The Open Fire
We still cook the way it has been done in Argentina for generations—over an open flame on a traditional Parrilla Criolla. No short cuts, no gas burners. Our master asadores command the logs, embers, and timing to seal in juices and impart that authentic wood-fired smokiness.
USDA Prime & Choice
Our meat sourcing story focuses entirely on quality and consistency. We select premium USDA Prime and USDA Choice beef, aging it to perfection. Whether you order the legendary Entraña (Skirt Steak) or the Lomo (Filet Mignon), you get the same top-tier quality every single night.
Boutique Cellar
Our wine collection leans heavily into Argentina, curated to showcase the diverse terroirs of Mendoza, Salta, and Patagonia. We feature exclusive, small-production boutique labels that you won't find anywhere else in California, selected to match the bold flavors of our meats.
Living the World Cup in SoCal
At Gaucho Grill, football is not just a game; it is part of our DNA. We are transforming all our Southern California locations into the ultimate fan headquarters for the World Cup 2026. Every match will be a celebration, complete with Argentine flag decorations, balloons, themed menus, and high-energy promotions.
We are partnering directly with local Argentine communities in Downey and Pasadena to bring stadium-like atmosphere to the room. From kickoff to the final whistle, Gaucho is where you want to be to feel the pulse of the tournament.
